    Job Description

    The Sr. Technical Product Manager will work closely with McDonald’s technology partners in our LIOM (Lead International Operated Markets) segment (UK, Germany, France, Australia, Canada). The primary responsibility will be to build relationships with our key partners in-market to ensure alignment on critical issues, priorities, and global standard methodologies. They will need to work with market teams to understand the business, priorities, and challenges within those markets.

    As Sr. Technical Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for evolving the end-to-end production deployment process for the McDonald’s POS system and deployment tools, including localization, configuration, automated testing, and production monitoring.

    The Sr. Technical Product Manager will demonstrate their deep expertise with coordinating multi-product deployment processes and strong partnerships with market teams to improve quality, efficiency, and accelerate our ability to deploy new features that our customers love.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Act as first point of escalation for market struggles and defects for efficient resolution with Product Engineering teams.
    • Be the liaison between market and global technology team. Relay information and feedback to global technology to help improve products.
    • In collaboration with markets and segments promote the adoption of global standards in product configuration, deployment, monitoring etc.
    • In collaboration with market and segment stakeholders analyze CSM and other data sources to help, prioritize and manage the issue backlog.
    • Champion iterative evolution of our tools and processes to drive efficiency and higher quality for our production releases.
    • Responsible for quality and efficiency metrics for market deployment process.
    • Find opportunities within the LIOM to improve deployment, testing, and share standard methodologies to improve POS stability and increase time to market.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date. 
    • 3+ years of Technical Project Management or Engineering Management experience in an enterprise global environment.
    • Extensive experience working with Agile methodologies and expertise in production deployment processes and continuous deployment methodologies.
    • Extensive travel will be required to the markets (UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, France) in order to support local teams.
    • Experience working in a distributed (virtual) and culturally diverse teams across multiple time zones.
    • Deep knowledge of mobile technologies on the iOS and Android platforms, especially related to beta, canary, and production release processes.
    • Must be passionate about technology and opinionated about the best ways to deploy products and features that customer love to use.
    • Strong quantitative analysis skills.
    • Attention to detail
    • Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience leading multiple complex, cross-functional projects in parallel, including prioritizing major initiatives and negotiating trade-offs with business stakeholders.
    • Curious, task-oriented, and a self-starter, with a proven track record of “getting things done.”
    • Customer-centric attitude, with a focus on organizational goals.
    • Ability to deliver information in a clear, succinct way, ensuring the organization makes rapid and informed decisions.
    • Experienced facilitator who leads strategy creation and planning discussions.
