    Job Description

    Come be a part of a team of designers passionate about creating inclusive products for McDonald’s global customer base. You will be responsible for visual and interaction design, production-level development support, and working with our design system for features across app, web, and kiosk. In this role you can expect to partner with McDonald’s agency partners, internal product managers, UX researchers and report to the Product Design Manager for QA and Design System.

    Work with the Global Digital product team to develop projects to ensure delivery, with particular focus on developing specifications, design patterns, development solutions and development production schedules. Work closely with Global Digital UX and product development squads, and partner vendors, to deliver quality visual design assets on time.

    Responsibilities 

    • Work closely with product managers and developers to create and update production-quality designs for the app, web, and kiosk channel products 
    • Provide design QA support as a subject matter expert for McDonald’s global digital design system and guidelines 
    • Contribute to, maintain, and utilize McDonald’s design system 
    • Collaborate with the product and development team to understand business, technical and user requirements 
    • Communicate designs, verbally and visually, to stakeholders and other team members, and productively address any feedback 
    • Provide clear documentation for your designs and work with development through the implementation process 
    • Create mid-fidelity prototypes using InVision, Figma, Principle, or After Effects 
    • Perform other design-related duties, as needed, including designing presentations
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.

    Requirements

    • 2+ years of experience in omnichannel digital UX/UI design 
    • Ability to concisely document and express user experience guidelines that can be readily understood and applied by both leadership and developers 
    • Understanding of visual design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and information hierarchy 
    • Experience in Sketch, Figma, InVision, Keynote, PowerPoint, Excel, Jira, Confluence 
    • Experience with front end development (Swift, React) a plus 
    • Motion design skill is a plus 
    • Experience working with or within a digital agency 
    • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards 
    • Experience working in Agile delivery environments where the pace is fast, continuous and a focus on execution is critical 
    • Experience creating, contributing to or consuming component-based design systems 
    • Invests time to stay on top of industry, creative, tech trends and looks for opportunities to apply learnings to work. 
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
