    Job Description

    The Asset Management Legal Team is comprised of lawyers, paralegals, and other professionals who provide legal advice regarding the negotiation and drafting of new leases and lease amendments for existing McDonald’s restaurant sites, as well as the acquisition of existing McDonald’s restaurant sites. Under supervision of McDonald's attorneys and/or paralegals, the legal assistant will perform administrative duties to support the legal functions associated with the work of the Asset Management Team.

    Core Administrative Support:

    • Receives, opens, sorts, and delivers daily incoming mail.
    • Processes invoices, obtains appropriate authorization for payment, and serves as team’s electronic billing system (Onit) subject matter expert, as well as assists with management of team’s budget.
    • Reviews and determines appropriate recipient for correspondence and legal documents.
    • Drafts, proofs, copies and distributes correspondence/legal documents.
    • Drafts letters and responses to routine correspondence.
    • Establishes, organizes and maintains electronic files, records and electronic data banks.
    • Makes flight, hotel, and other travel arrangements for principals as well as processes expense reports.

    • Leads the team in the use of and application of software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Team Connect, Onit, Smartsheets, Tririga, etc.
    • Communicates information effectively in a clear and concise manner and possesses excellent writing skills.
    • Must be comfortable using variety of technology to perform most tasks throughout day.
    • Understands team's goals, contributes to the team's success by being an active participant and promotes a shared responsibility for achieving results.
    • Assists the team in identifying opportunities to improve communication within and outside the group.
    • Ability to work in team environment as well as the ability to problem solve independently to address obstacles.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School or equivalent degree required, college degree preferred.
    • A minimum of 2 years of administrative assistant experience preferred (real estate or other legal experience a plus).
    • Individual who is driven by values of inclusiveness, kindness, and professionalism and is motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to learn.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills, including review of basic legal documents.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize higher value work, handle deadline pressures, and sensitive information.
    • Ability to work well individually and also as part of a team.
