    Job Description

    The Financial Accounting & Reporting team within the Corporate Controller Group plays a critical role for the McDonald’s System. The Financial Accounting & Reporting team is a value-added resource to senior management with accountabilities for Board of Director level financial reporting, accounting policy and translating key business initiatives into the financial statements. Externally, the group is responsible for all SEC financial reporting and preparation of the financial statements, financial press releases and regulatory filings that tell the McDonald’s story.

    This Manager role within the Financial Accounting & Reporting team is an excellent opportunity offering a broad perspective on McDonald’s global business through providing exposure to the consolidated internal and external reporting processes. This is a highly visible role which allows for frequent and direct interaction with top management, including the Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Investor Relations Officer. The team serves as a trusted business partner to multiple departments across the business (US Finance, Investor Relations, Legal and Tax). The role will allow an individual to develop a strong understanding of the McDonald’s brand and business, add value through financial reporting, and develop others through directly managing a team.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • All external (SEC), Management, and Board of Directors level financial reporting
    • Documenting McDonald’s policies regarding technical accounting issues and questions
    • Participation in special projects for Finance management
    • Development and supervision of two staff
    • Identification of opportunities to efficiently provide fiduciary leadership and promote a strong internal control environment

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    • CPA
    • Public accounting experience and SEC reporting experience preferred
    • 6+ years of experience
