    DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

    This person will apply their skill-set and knowledge toward tackling a designated summer project. This is an exciting opportunity to have a true impact on the company by designing and implementing solutions for real challenges facing the business. THIS SUMMER ROLE WILL SIT WITHIN A FUNCTIONAL TEAM IN THE US MARKETING DEPARTMENT AS PART OF THE BRAND & CONTENT TEAM’S VISUAL IDENTITY CENTER OF EXCELLENCE.  YOU’LL HAVE EXPOSURE TO OUR NATIONAL CAMPAIGNS, ENTERTAINMENT & SPORTS ALLIANCES, FAMILY MARKETING, PACKAGING, SOCIAL MEDIA, LOYALTY, AND MORE.

    Qualifications

    This person will work closely with internal and external key stakeholders to navigate the organization and deliver on the challenge he or she has been asked to solve.  Projects may potentially include work in:

    • Learn and consult about visual identity in retail signage
    • Develop promotional packaging for campaigns
    • Participate and learn how to direct food photo shoots
    • Gain a strong understanding of our Digital Asset management system and assist in deployment of the assets
    • Develop merchandise and apparel for campaigns or special marketing event

     

    HOW YOU’LL BE COMPENSATED  You’ll be lovin’ your compensation which will include: 

    • $50/hr for the 10-week program (up to 40 hours/week)
    • Housing Stipend 
    • If on-site: Access to the McDonald’s Headquarters facilities (gym, company events, rooftop patio, Global Restaurant) 
    • Company-sponsored networking and social events 
    • May be eligible for Summer Hours schedule

    QUALIFICATIONS

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

    • Will be graduating December 2022 or Summer 2023
    • Can WORK MONDAY-FRIDAY DURING ALL 10 WEEKS of the internship (6/6 - 8/12)
    • Have work authorization and will not require visa sponsorship for future employment
    • Data literate and the ability to turn data signals into consumer-driven marketing insights  
    • The ability to shift thinking across various projects
    • Good Design eye is cost of entry, we are looking for a person who is savvy with people and possesses solid project management skills…a balance between corporate and creative
    • Comfortable with the culture of big, complex organizations
    • A person who is passionate to explore and test innovation
    • Preffered majors: Visual Marketing, Graphic Design 
    • MUST HAVE RECEIVED OR BE WILLING TO RECEIVE THE COVID-19 VACCINATION BY DATE OF HIRE TO BE CONSIDERED. PROOF OF VACCINATION REQUIRED.

    • Creativity: Someone who can suggest new ways of doing things and brings fresh, new thinking but also willing to learn and absorb current direction.
    • Leadership:  Someone who can collaborate with others whether it’s a hands-on implementation role or a strategic one, this person will help drive solutions
    • Communication: Expresses complex ideas and positions in a clear, concise, and timely manner
