    THE TEAM:

    The GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT is at the center of all of McDonald’s key initiatives. We are technical and functional experts that are accountable to ensure that features are developed and delivered with high quality and meet the market’s needs and expectations.

    The GLOBAL TECHNICAL SERVICES | INNOVATION TEAM is responsible for providing early operation testing, visibility, and impact assessment of operation and technology enabling early learning and decreasing time to market. The Technical Services team achieves this through the implementation of new IT concepts in live market testing scenarios in our INNOVATION CENTER facility and working on new concepts in our labs and pilot restaurants.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Sr. Business Technical Analyst role would have a technical and operational proficiency, personal curiosity, flexibility, and excellent troubleshooting skills to learn and master the restaurant technology used at McDonald’s and deploy software/hardware within our testing facility.

    • Provide Installation & support services for the Innovations Center activities.
    • Work closely with key market stakeholders and teams to create a specific restaurant environment and help solve operations opportunities.
    • Coordinate and/or execute restaurant configurations to ensure that technical solutions meet the needs of the business and Market testing.
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair IC technology equipment including GTSS restaurants.
    • Installation/de-install of hardware.
    • Evolve into the role of subject matter expert on McDonald’s POS (NPOS) platform plus other technologies (Kiosk, GMA, IC Bay System) and platforms.
    • Create and/or review manuals, how-to procedures, and related user & technical documentation
    • Develops technical plans and manages the execution for IC Bay testing.

    Qualifications

    • Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date. 
    • College Degree preferred.
    • Windows OS (Windows 10 & PosReady7).
    • Windows Server (2012, 2016 & 2019).
    • General programming Skills.
    • XML, JSON file systems
    • Networking.
    • Scripting (C#, HTML5, CSS, PowerShell).
    • NoSQL Database a plus.
    • Cloud-based applications (eCP, RFM).
    • Active Directory and Remote Control.
    • McDonald's eCommerce.
    • Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong and proactive problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to deliver training and guidance to less experienced team members.
    • Ability to work independently / self-directed.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
    • Consistently meet deadlines and commitments with high quality.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
