    DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

    The U.S. Government Relations (GR) Department is within the U.S. Communications team and is made up of 15 people who work on either state/local or federal issues. The primary goals of the GR Department are to represent the company's interests on issues that impact the business and to proactively share our positive stories in the people, food and planet spaces. Our stakeholders include elected officials, agencies and third party partners including trade associations and NGO.

    You are a strong candidate if you:

    • Are a JUNIOR working towards your Bachelor’s degree with a graduation date in Winter 2022 or Summer 2023
    • Are pursuing one of the preferred majors including: GOVERNMENT, POLITICAL SCIENCE, BUSINESS OR OTHER RELATED DEGREES
    • Have a college GPA of AT LEAST 3.0
    • Have a PASSION FOR GOVERNMENT, BUSINESS AND POLITICAL SCIENCE
    • Can WORK MONDAY-FRIDAY ALL 10 WEEKS of the internship (6/6-8/12)
    • CAN WORK IN WASHINGTON DC FOR THIS ROLE
    • Adapt strong written and oral COMMUNICATION SKILLS based on your audience
    • Pursue organization involvement or experience related to STRATEGY, COMMUNICATIONS, OR GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
    • COMMITTED TO A CULTURE OF INCLUSIVENESS

    HOW YOU’LL BE COMPENSATED

    You’ll be lovin’ your benefits which will include:

    • $25/Hr (Expect to work 40 hrs each week during the 10-week internship)
