    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Events Specialist to support the MHQ Conference Center and events held at MHQ. A successful candidate for this role will provide an unparalleled level of customer service, strong attention to detail and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage onsite meetings and events
    • Partner with internal Employee Experience team members to create, plan and elevate employee events and experiences within MHQ and our other corporate offices
    • Daily interface with internal clients helping to support effective execution of events at MHQ (including corporate meetings, employee events, HU graduations, and more)
    • Work cross functionally with various internal/external partners (Conference Center team, Agency 123, A/V provider, Catering Etc.)
    • Manage the relationship with our exclusive catering company, including menu selection, set up and removal of catering. Process all billing for catering services
    • Develop and maintain knowledge of technology and/or software solutions in support of meeting scheduling, planning and execution. EMS and CVENT knowledge are a plus
    • Create/collect customer satisfaction survey for clients to determine areas of success and areas of improvement
    • Stay on top of industry standards and trends related to core responsibilities; provide recommendations for and support implementation of process improvements that will help meetings and events run efficiently and enhance the customer experience
    • Promote a positive team environment, display the Core Values of McDonalds
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

     

    • MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED (I.E., AT LEAST 2 WEEKS AFTER LAST DOSE) FOR COVID-19 AND, IF HIRED, PRESENT PROOF OF VACCINATION BY START DATE.
    • Ability to work ONSITE at MHQ
    • Ability to have a flexible work schedule, some evenings required based on event bookings (LATEST WOULD BE 9PM M-F)
    • Event/project management and critical thinking skills are a key element of success in this role
    • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of management, written and verbal
    • Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving business and work environment
    • 3+ years of event planning and execution or leading a conference center
    • Food & beverage experience would be a plus
    • Hospitality/event planning degree/certificate preferred
