    Job Description

    This position will reside within McDonald’s Global Supply Chain under the Global Services organization. The team is a dynamic, progressive department which contributes directly to the bottom-line performance of the company. Global Supply Chain consults with leaders throughout the company and supports initiatives that are driving McDonald’s into the future. To further advance our Sourcing capabilities and efficiency, Supply Chain is launching a Sourcing Operations team, which this position will lead.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    SOURCING OPERATIONS PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

    • Owns & Champions Strategic Sourcing Process. Accountable for improving efficiencies, driving towards standardization while still assuring that the process meets stakeholder needs.
    • Assures process adoption through training and stakeholder alignment.
    • Responsible for assuring continuous improvement of Sourcing Operations tools and processes.
    • Accountable for sourcing project intake, workflow routing, data collection and reporting processes.
    • Supports Sourcing Ops business case through pipeline planning, forecasting resource requirements, and by gaining visibility to key insights into the sourcing needs of our category teams.

    3RD PARTY MANAGEMENT

    • Partners closely with 3rd parties, direct reports, peers, and leadership to assure achievement of objectives. Seeks continuous feedback.
    • Owns/manages relationship with 3rd party support teams. Manages 3rd party resource allocation and prioritization.

    Qualifications

    • Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Drive & perseverance to partner with stakeholders through change management.
    • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
    • Ability to achieve objectives through influence.
    • Proactively communicates relevant information to keep key parties informed of progress and potential roadblocks.
    • Ability to build positive working relationships both internally and externally.
    • Communicates effectively both written and oral methods with all levels. Can simplify complex concepts. Clear and concise communication with leadership.
    • Ability to think critically and structure analyses to solve ambiguous problems.
    • Possesses working knowledge of sourcing processes, tools & standard methodologies.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Diverse experience with strategic sourcing: Experience with multiple categories, multiple industries, direct, indirect, products, and services
    • MBA preferred but not required
    • Knowledge/familiarity with cost modeling preferred
    • People management experience preferred

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelors’ Degree required
    • 6+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing or commensurate experience in related functions.
