    Job Description

    As McDonald’s continues to innovate and disrupt the restaurant industry, we are looking to add an experienced Business Resilience Analyst who will coordinate the planning and execution of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity tests across McDonald’s technology landscape.

    In this role, you will support the McDonald’s Sr. Business Resilience Manager to:

    • Develop technology resilience plans to ensure the availability of critical services & applications
    • Propose and implement strategies to minimize the impact (i.e., efficiency, revenue, financial performance, image) and recover critical and vital business functions; and
    • Coordinate an exercise and maintenance program to ensure the viability of the plans

    This position will be based out of our headquarters in Chicago. On-site availability is a must.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Coordinates the collection and annual maintenance of Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity plans
    • Assists in the development of critical internal and external reporting metrics for the Business Resilience Management Program that provides transparency into McDonald’s Business Resilience readiness posture
    • Assists in the development of schedules and materials for the Business Resilience training and awareness activities to ensure that Business Resilience teams are trained and proficient in implementing the Business Resilience plans
    • Partners with a distributed team of skilled professionals to ensure McDonald’s recovery strategies & capabilities support our Business Resilience readiness framework
    • Maintain the plan for accuracy to reflect changes to Business & Infrastructure
    • Works closely with the Information Security Team and IT Operations team members to determine gaps and establish strategies for risk mitigation
    • Implements and maintains processes and standard methodologies to safeguard McDonald’s critical applications, infrastructure, and data
    • Communicates and escalates risks to business stakeholders for remediation or acceptance
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting an Information Technology Disaster Recovery program for a large-scale eCommerce, airline, or banking company
    • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology – Strong working knowledge of multi-cloud environments; knowledge of monitoring and observability, backups and storage, Linux/Unix/Windows systems, and virtualization technologies
    • 2+ years of experience facilitating group discussions, training/awareness meetings, and exercise scenarios
    • Must have practical knowledge of using Excel for Data Analysis, PowerPoint for Infographics, and SharePoint for Collaboration
    • Experience with daily use and maintenance of an ITSM platform, such as ServiceNow
    • Experience working in an agile environment, utilizing tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
    • Ability to conduct research into issues, evaluate solutions and translate findings into roadmaps and leadership presentation
    • Detail oriented with excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to understand business challenges, drive process improvements and translate into solutions
    • Superb communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in easy-to-understand business-friendly language

    Desired Skills

    • Industry-recognized certification in Business Continuity Management Program or Information Security is desirable
    • Experience in a retail environment with global offices, data centers, and cloud environments
    • Motivation to use initiative to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
    • A strong team player with a willingness to learn, engage and build relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners
    • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet project/global program requirements
    • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards
