    Job Description

    This opportunity is part of the Global Infrastructure & Operations function within Global Technology! Collaborating with the Director, Operations Excellence and working closely with the Global Technology team, the Technical Consultant will anticipate and handle the strategic and tactical needs for Global Infrastructure Operations while being responsible for the translation of business needs into effective IT roadmap processes and technical solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for an expert technology consultant to help shape the transformation of infrastructure and operations products and services to the entire McDonald’s environment!

    Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

    • Develop business demand management and engagement for Global Technology and run operational excellence roadmaps and releases to adopt and accelerate usage across the business
    • Work with the business to upskill people across the organization, enabling collaborators on key business differentiators across strategy execution and value cases for Infrastructure & Operations
    • Help to translate technical requirements into action items to improve higher level roadmap procedures
    • Ability to communicate, strengthen and deliver GTIO roadmap processes including data gathering, tooling, and reporting for senior leadership.
    • Build value through ideation of solutions and end to end implementation of process improvement/problem solving enhancements
    • Build value realization in data driven decisions for KPIs, scorecards, and performance metrics. You will help the business best understand how Infrastructure & Operations is providing value to the overall McDonald’s ecosystem
    • Accountable for handling projects with moderate risk. Handles budget and advises activities of the projects teams

    • Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information captured from various sources
    • Ability to run collaborator expectations and resolve conflict
    • Ability to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation
    • Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds from all over the world
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including the ability to influence multiple parties towards common goals
    • Highly organized and diligent, with the ability to keep many engagements active at once
    • Naturally elevates others and creates a culture of belonging through engaging hard-working teams
    • Strong financial competence
    • Knowledge and applied experience of different process improvement frameworks
    • 8+ years of technology capability experience across multiple IT practices that may include infrastructure leadership, service management leadership, technology operations, data management and business relationship management
    • 5+ years experience in partnering with senior/executive level resources to produce solutions/improvements for business operating models
    • Hands on exposure to following areas/tools:
    • MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint especially)
    • Smartsheet
    • Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau)
    • Process mapping/design (Visio, Miro, Roadmunk)
    • Have orchestrated a digital transformation to help improve an organization’s product vision and how to scale at an enterprise/global level
    • Familiar with standard methodologies for chargeback models and shared services
    • Good experience in process improvement, with an emphasis on analytics and process management (prior experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools preferred)
    • Ability to generate compelling arguments and translate to action
    • Skills with Office, Microsoft Excel, stored procedures or other data tooling
    • Capability working with customers, presentations, and participating in requirements sessions.
    • Understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle - including data requirements gathering, dataset migration, data reconciliation, and move to production.
    • Ability to collaborate with cross-organizational partners, both corporate and in the market, to define requirements and resolve data issues.
    • Capable of experience mapping, redefining, and loading data from source to target software systems.

    Experience

    • 4+ years of relevant technology work experience and a Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, STEM or 2+ years relevant work experience and a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or STEM focused fields.
    • Experience with methodical problem solving in operations, systems, processes in highly sophisticated organizations
    • Experience with technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design.
