    Job Description

    The US Hardware Solutions & Technology Insights team is dedicated to the integration, certification, and deployment of technology hardware in over 13,500 US restaurants!

    The Product Delivery Manager will be responsible to lead strategy for the Certification team including identifying new hardware, guiding it through testing and certification, and coordinating the deployment and installation in the US Market with the Onsite Deployment team and/or OTP Program.

    This position will combine Project Management practices and Agile best practices to ensure effective and efficient management of the Hardware Life Cycle. This individual will have the responsibility of supervising and motivating both internal and outsourced / contractor teams, enabling them to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and to deliver high-end quality solutions.

    The role reports to the Senior Manager Product Delivery for the Hardware Certification and Onsite Deployment team within the US Technology organization.

    Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate impact of hardware on restaurant operations, ensuring hardware will be operable and installation successful.
    • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and lead all aspects of the Hardware Certification Process.
    • Primary product point of contact for the outsourced contractor team, delegating responsibilities where support is required.
    • Work with Product Owners, other MHQ Departments, Field partners, Suppliers/Vendors, the OTP Program and O/O’s to understand business needs and their standard methodologies.
    • Present project plans and timelines to stakeholders and Leadership committees.
    • Maintain Project status reporting.
    • Build, monitor, and maintain of Key Performance Indicators, data and metrics.
    • Assist in defining Hardware Quality Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Forecast hardware needs and manage inventory levels with Suppliers/Vendors.
    • Advise Vendor Management Office of Intent to Certify.
    • Train and mentor direct reports and nurture an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment.
    • Provide regular informal feedback, as well as formal feedback for performance reviews, and coaching for positions under this role’s supervision.
    • Promote team empowerment by ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the project with meaningful contributions/outcomes.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of technical product management or relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years relevant experience with a Master’s degree.
    • 2+ years working with restaurant or retail hardware solutions and platforms.
    • Experience working on technical teams that handl an important product and/or a suite of products.
    • Experience communicating with leadership and setting expectations for major cross-functional initiatives.
    • Experience managing technical priorities and driving strategic hardware initiatives.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage technical products from an unclear problem statement, driving clarity, understanding, and opportunity assessment, managing trade-offs and evaluating potential concepts with internal and external partners using design thinking and agile principles.
    • Experience working in an agile product development environment: participating in and leading agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, supervising metrics of multiple teams, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.)
    • Impact-minded approach, with ability to articulate goals and instill action and alignment to reach them.
    • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop product strategy and cases, and measure success.
    • Strong written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in easy-to-understand business friendly language.
    • Ability to develop and manage project schedules, communicate deadlines, enforce project deadlines, and creatively solve issues.
    • Able to work with culturally diverse teams across levels in a global organization and in an extensively outsourced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with hardware peripherals, architecture, and cataloging processes. Example hardware: kiosks, digital signage, media players, scanners, cash recyclers, audio systems, etc.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence and partner across product and platform teams.
    • Experience defining hardware standards and specifications.
