    Role: Director of Operations

     

    The 2nd largest Dealer of synthetic turf in the country, located in the best market. Ability to join a fast-growing company and be the catalyst for change. looking for someone to grow with them for the next 10-20 years.

     

    Total Compensation Package:


    • 80-95K depending on experience

      Company Vehicle:

    • Yes, Leased Toyota Tacoma work truck

      Bonuses, Equity/Profit Sharing:

    • 6% of revenue on closed, paid jobs

      Size of Company: 5.5 million in sales

      Commercial/Residential Installation:

      70% revenue from commercial

      30% High-end residential

      Main Services: Artificial Turf install – playgrounds, dog parks, commercial via Landscape Architects, high-end residential, putting greens

      Future expansion within a 500mile radius of DFW, possibility to grow the franchise

      2021 Revenue (run rate): $5,300,000

      The main goal for this role at the start, and overtime

    • Operationally – take 90% of the day-to-day construction operation and back-office oversight from General Manager and 100% from Business Development Manager

      Take our installs from a B- to an A, A+

    • Scale to a 15-million-dollar installation company by 2025, from a 5.5 million installation company in 2021, with the ability to build out a plan to expand to other markets outside of DFW
    • Build out the process for operations, after learning internal, and external daily business practices
    • Training development
    • Limit mistakes
    • Crew accountability
    • Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement

    Possible travel:

    • East Texas, Tyler, Kansas, Washington, one-offs Average 4-5 times a year

    • Trade Shows- 3-4 year “COVID removed”

      HR Responsibilities:

      Be a part of the process of recruiting, hiring, and disciplinary

      Help grow our reputation as the high-end installers of our services, and products in our market, through quality installations, and gathering proactive review’s from completed jobs

      Increase our Gross Margin from 29% to 33-35% through crew productivity, reducing callbacks/repairs, better sourcing, and supply chain efficiencies, minimizing waste, etc.

    • Improve our quality and efficiencies with our turf installations
    • Reassess, reestablish policies, and procedures
    • 60% in Field 40% in office
    • Bring better-streamlined organization, processes, and procedures to their daily process

    Example of a typical day below:

    • Crew jump off start 7-am
    • Projects kickoffs, onsite crew reviews, crew, clients, customer callbacks
    • Paperwork, close-outs, ordering, schedule, GC, Client follow up
    • Put in process for end day expectations

    Top 3-5 most important must-haves for this position:

    • Prior experience doing similar role's “project manager, commercial side because of the speed of install vs residential even though we covet the "white-glove experience”
    • Can be in a divisional role – Residential construction side- Multiple crews, managing projects at same time
