    The Southwest Business Development Director is responsible for the coordination, implementation and sale of targeted Landscape Maintenance firms and/or customers in the Southeastern region of the United States. This person will oversee the AZ, CO, & NV region and will be 100% focused on calling and coordinating sales meetings with landscape maintenance companies. This role will be reaching out to these clients to sell and set them up on our companies smart water management programs. Our firm specializes in manufacturing and distributing irrigation and water management components and hardware systems for commercial and residential clients. We are one of the leading firms in the smart water management industry and we take pride in our talented team of professionals who strive and continue to make us the absolute best at what we do.

     

    The Southwest Business Developer must be a self-driven, determined, and sales oriented person who thoroughly understands the sales process and who has a proven track record of sales success in Business Development and/or Outside Sales. We are seeking a "fire breathing dragon" to work alongside our team of viciously kind-hearted sales people. The ideal candidate will be able to operate calmly under high pressure, will have a natural talent for creating relationships and making sales, and will be able to manage themselves in an efficient and productive manner with little guidance in their day to day activities.

     

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Achieve individual sales goals
    • Support other sales team members in sales activities
    • Develop and implement strategic business development plans for targeting key accounts in the landscape maintenance sector
    • Frequently make calls and arrange sales meetings, in-person, with potential clients and partners
    • Prepare proposal for new sales opportunities
    • Track, monitor and analyze all individual sales

     

    Sales Responsibilities:

    • Meet and exceed company and individual established sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
    • Identify and sell new work based on relationship selling - i.e. referral sales
    • Responsible for sales process for identifying customer pain points, scope and specifications, take-offs, estimating, proposal development and closing the sale
    • Ensure margins and profitability meet or exceed company established budgets
    • Attend regional networking events
    • Cultivate and Milk new business opportunities for our company, leading to increased sales and profits

     

    Administrative Responsibilities:

    • Participate/Arrange all meetings with your potential clients
    • Complete paperwork in a timely and effective manner - i.e. estimates, contracts, reporting tools, extra proposals, expense reports, etc.
    • Monitor and manage your day and accounts efficiently
    • CRM software is used heavily (Salesforce). Prior CRM experience required

     

    Skill-set, Experience and Knowledge:

    • Work with various software programs - i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, Salesforce (CRM), etc
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Customer service and problem/conflict resolution a must
    • Pricing, contracts, time management, and quality control
    • Minimum of five years of leadership and sales experience within Sales Industry
    • 2 year degree, 4 year degree preferred
    • Bi-Lingual is a plus

     

    Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of Sales Management Experience
    • Proven track record of high-end sales performance and business development
    • Experience in equipment sales
    • CRM experience
    • Must live in Florida, Georgia, or Carolinas
