AutoCAD Technician/Landscape Design Assistant

An established, award-winning landscape company celebrating 26 years in business. We are looking for a creative, talented, and enthusiastic AutoCAD Technician/Landscape Design Assistant to aid our established landscape designers and architects by creating preliminary and final drawings using computer-aided drafting software.

AutoCAD Technician/Landscape Design Assistant position is an excellent opportunity for someone with the necessary CAD and landscape skills to get into the rewarding career of a Landscape Designer/Estimator Role.

Essential Duties:

• Take site measurements and elevations.
• Enter measurements into AutoCAD.
• Create base maps from plats of survey and house plans in preparation for landscape plans.
• Draft and advance landscape plans from schematic/concept phase through design development and final construction documentation.

Requirements:

• Team player
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to jump between projects when needed.
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
• Creative thinker with the ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
• Proficient with computer software programs including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite. Sketch up is a plus.

Experiences:

• Strong AutoCAD skills
• Background in Landscape/Hardscape/Architectural Design is a plus
