    Description:

    Prepares and provides high quality landscape designs, specifications, and cost estimates that meet/exceed clients’ needs and expectations.

    This position is responsible for bringing a consistent flow of profitable design/build projects to the company by responding to company generated leads and continually prospecting for new business within our service territory. 

    The candidate will play a key role in the management of the projects he/she has sold, including project layout, progress, completion and final close out. The position has a high degree of customer service responsibility and the ability to proactively address client concerns and complaints in a proactive manner is necessary to succeed in this role.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Initial client interview and consultation
    • Site inspection and assessment
    • Generate high quality landscape designs via design software
    • Prepare thorough and accurate pricing proposals
    • Presentation of the design and proposal in a professional manner to the client
    • Sell the project within approved financial guidelines (size of project, costs, profit margin)
    • Accept all project deposits for projects sold
    • Provide specifications and project management on all projects sold
    • Conduct the final customer walk-through and collection of final project payment
    • Actively monitor and aggressively pursue all proposals in progress

     

    Qualifications:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of hardscape construction materials and methods
    • Strong knowledge of plant material and other components utilized in landscape installation
    • Advanced site assessment skills supported by data analytics
    • Proficient in computer aided landscape design and MS Office Suite
    • Ability to work effectively with and provide direction to the crew assigned to each project: setting priorities and organizing/assigning work to ensure the appropriate level of quality and efficiency
    • Highly developed time management skills to enable completion of concurrent projects
    • Superior communications skills to ensure successful outcomes with both customers and crews
    • Profit driven – seeks ways to cut costs, improve efficiency and increase margins, while still maintaining the highest possible level of project quality
