    McGarrah Jessee is seeking a creative director to head up one of our longtime clients, a venerated Texas financial institution.

    The candidate needs to have experience running an account or multiple accounts as a CD. You need to have been in a position of managing multiple, cross-disciplinary teams to create effective and award-winning work. Must have an appreciation for and curiosity about the world of banking and finance. That being said, our client is likely the most un-bank-like bank client you’ll ever run across and we continually get requests from them to “scare us.”

    You will bring a talent for driving creatives toward unexpected solutions that go well beyond the brief. Hacking existing platforms, new technologies and the like should be something you are comfortable employing. There will be a good amount of client exposure with this position, so highly developed interpersonal skills and an aptitude for business are a must. You must be a compelling, persuasive advocate for the work you will help create. As big as those opportunities are, there is also a need for attention to detail. There are a lot of moving parts on this account and they are all important.

    Responsibilities:

    Creative direction and leadership on assigned account(s)

    Establish and nurture strong relationships with client team

    Guide and mentor more junior creatives and create the conditions for the team to do great work

    Requirements:

    Killer portfolio showing solid conceptual abilities as well as attention to detail and craft

    Demonstrated ability to reach beyond traditional advertising approaches into innovative and unexpected solutions

    Knack for presenting ideas in a compelling way both informally and formally

    Collaborative approach

    Genuine interest in the banking and finance category

    10+ years of experience with at least two to three years in a creative director capacity
