We are looking for a media planner for one of our key accounts to help manage planning and execution across all channels, with a heavy focus on social media.
This role requires a big-picture mindset, organizational skills and adaptability. We’re looking for a passionate individual who will eat, sleep and breathe the brands we partner with. This person should be enthusiastic about collaboration with different McGarrah Jessee disciplines to develop digital solutions, tactical social executions and be able to sell in recommendations with compelling logic and enthusiasm.
Broad experience across digital and social media tactics is a must, and knowledge of traditional media channels is also needed.
Responsibilities:
Lead the cross-channel media planning for an assigned group of local markets, while also supporting the brand’s social strategy and execution at a macro level
Collaborate with other media planners, creatives and key team members to develop content and platform strategies and align efforts with a constantly evolving set of business objectives
Support the team in the content creation and planning process, providing insight and key learnings pulled from analytics and market knowledge as well as from additional research and collaboration with internal teams
Manage a high volume of weekly social executions and optimizations with a high degree of accuracy and autonomy for local market efforts
Compile monthly reports for clients analyzing performance based on a tailored set of KPIs and indicate how results should impact future social strategy decisions
Research brand category social trends, competitive landscape happenings and consumer behaviors relevant to our clients. Identify new audiences, channels and engagement opportunities for our brands
Collaborate with client marketing members to align efforts with advertising, public relations, internal communications, brand management, product development, SEO/SEM marketing, data analytics, and Web and mobile content strategies to ensure collaborative, successful and efficient social marketing
Assist in formulating, writing and presenting campaign/media recommendations
Requirements:
2–4 years of experience in media planning inclusive of social strategy, shaping the online presence of brands through market knowledge and consumer insight, resulting in holistic, impactful programs that support overall marketing initiatives and enhance the consumer experience
Deep understanding of social network functionality, advertising opportunities and optimization practices from a business perspective across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube
Experience tracking annual and/or monthly budgets, making sure spend is both efficient and effective
Passion for new/emerging media technologies and ability to engage strategically and tactically across platforms
Strong writing skills and an ability to craft your ideas and messages to fit any medium
Excellent analysis, reporting and presentation skills
Excellent oral and written communications, organization and planning skills
