As an associate producer, you will work closely with the executive producer to own the project from start to finish. You’ll help manage production budgets, timelines, partner searches, actualization and internal/external communications. This includes video edits, social shoots, animation, radio and in-house photo and video shoots. The ideal person has a starting knowledge of the production process and a curiosity and willingness to learn all pieces of the business.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Work with the brand and project management teams to manage budgets, timelines and deliverables of a project both internally and with external partners
Evaluate, solicit bids from and negotiate with vendor partners
Work closely with production partners for video and print shoots to ensure seamless execution of creative and client visions
Work closely with the business affairs team to negotiate talent rates, clearances, copyright issues and usage rights
Partner with senior producers to anticipate blockers and effectively communicate solutions with internal teams and vendor partners
Maintain constant communication to provide status updates on schedule, budget and the deliverable(s)
Discover and/or manage vendors to collaborate with who will deliver the highest-quality product
Schedule and manage screenings
Keep project assets organized and up to date
Skills/Requirements:
Overall knowledge or curiosity about film, art/photo and digital capabilities/nomenclature
Understanding of art production workflow relating to working with photographers, illustrators, typographers, image licensing and retouching
Proactive and willing to try new ways of working
Willing to learn AICP and AICE guidelines
Knowledge of union vs. non-union talent negotiations
Understanding of creative process within an agency
Resourceful, positive, do-what-it-takes attitude and willingness to learn
Strong interpersonal and client service skills
Stellar organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to problem-solve, meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
At least 1–2 years of production experience at an agency
