We’re seeking a project manager with 2–5 years of experience for a full-time position. The role will be client-facing and applicants must have experience managing projects from discovery and design to development and implementation. The ability to draft and manage full project plans — including but not limited to schedules, scope, labor estimates, resource needs and burn reports — is a must. Experience in an agency environment is key. This position will work on a mix of both internal and external projects. A solutions-oriented, critically thinking team member will thrive in this role.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and managing the project plan and working with discipline leads and project teams to execute on plans
Manage schedules, budgets, assets and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverables and dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed as scoped
Monitor day-to-day activities of the project team and ensure work is progressing as scoped
Consistently identify needs that other internal teams may not recognize and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs
Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee and identify potential problems and proactively find solutions to address them in advance
Manage clients according to their targeted schedules, proactively set and maintain expectations and maintain good client relationships
Host regular internal project meetings. Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective use of resources while accomplishing client and project goals
Provide exceptional project management by ensuring clear communication and integration among all internal and external project stakeholders
Lead scoping and estimating for project work
Assist in developing overall scopes of work and staffing plans for AOR clients
Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations
Partner with project team leads to present work
Requirements:
3+ years in a client-facing role in a consulting firm or creative agency
Bachelor’s degree required. PMP certification desired
Fluency and comfort with business applications such as Microsoft Office, Smartsheet and other project management tools
Demonstrated ability to work with people in both technical and nontechnical roles
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to exchange information, explain techniques and answer questions clearly
Comfortable working independently and developing clear project plans and requirements from ambiguous initial project information
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
