Our law firm has a full-time associate attorney position available now and we’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic associate to join our team. Experience in labor and employment law is strongly preferred, but candidates with significant litigation experience or a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law will be considered. Candidates must have at least two years of employment law and/or civil litigation experience.   Benefits: • PPO Health Insurance • Dental PPO • Vision Insurance • Life Insurance • AD&D Insurance • 401k • PTO • Paid Sick Leave • Paid Holidays • Objective Bonus Program • Opportunities to work from home a few days a month after the introductory period and while in good standing • Supportive mentoring environment Responsibilities: • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Collaborate with clients and associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently • Drafting employment documents • Drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery • Researching state, federal, and administrative law • Appearing for hearings and conferences before state and federal courts and administrative agencies (DFEH, EEOC, ALRB, DLSE, Cal/OSHA) • Drafting and arguing motions including motions for summary judgment • Taking and defending depositions • Managing own caseload and calendar Qualifications: Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam • Ability to work with the team to best serve client needs and grow a client base • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills are needed in order to work with all levels of staff and clients • Have strong writing and analytical skills • Be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines • Enjoy working as part of a team • At least two years of civil litigation and/or employment law experience • Must be ready for a long term position (no job hoppers here) • Class action and PAGA experience are a plus! Compensation: $110,000+ DOE per year
