Overview

Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for stocking and facing grocery products, unloading trucks and ensuring that the aisles of the store are kept neat and clean. Responsible for meeting customer needs through providing well stocked and accurately priced merchandise to promote an optimal opportunity for sales.

Responsibilities

Responsible for consistently working to provide fast, friendly and efficient customer service at all times.

Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.

Responsible for working in a safe manner and for maintaining a neat, clean and organized workstation at all times, according to company standards.

Responsible for projecting oneself in a professional manner in accordance with our dress code.

Responsible for performing merchandising functions for the Grocery Department to include stocking product, facing product, ordering and maintaining inventory.

Responsible for returning excess merchandise to back room or overhead storage space in accordance with company standards and procedures.

Responsible for unloading merchandise from trucks.

Responsible for breaking down cardboard boxes and bailing them.

Responsible for following all company standards regarding sanitation (ie: floors, shelves and back room).

Responsible for processing customer orders as business needs dictate.

Responsible for retrieving shopping carts from parking lot and returning them to designated areas.

Responsible for maintaining controls and security in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsible for communicating new policies or promotional programs to our customers.

Responsible for knowing the store layout and assisting customers in finding items.

Responsible for controlling shrinkage through adherence to related policies and procedures.

Responsible for performing other related duties as assigned by the Night Crew Leader and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be reliable.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication skills.

Ability to read and write at the 8th grade level.

Ability to match up numbers for accurate stocking.

Physical Requirements

Occasional repetitive motion of hand, wrist, arm and shoulder.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching and climbing.

Frequently carry and lift from floor to the waist of up to 50 pounds.

Constantly carry weight of up to 12 pounds.

Occasionally push and pull up to 70 pounds.

Constantly grip up to 15 pounds.

Occasional exposure to cool temperatures.

Ability to work in a store environment.
