Instrumentation & Controls Senior Project Manager

  • Responsibilities
    • Responsible for concurrent instrumentation & controls and SCADA projects including design and implementation.
    • Manages project scope, schedule and budget from conceptual design through detailed design and construction completion.
    • Conducts process evaluations, SCADA architecture concepts, leads and directs staff in preparing specifications, reports, and I & C designs for water and wastewater systems.
    • Interfaces with process, civil, mechanical and electrical design engineers.
    • Provides electrical design if skilled and experienced.
    • Manages staff performing PLC programming and/or HMI programming during project implementation phases on some projects.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (related field).
    • PE or ability to acquire FL PE quickly preferred.
    • 10 years of experience in instrumentation and controls.
    • Process-oriented individual with strong technical skills.
    • Solid communicator, able to work directly with clients to understand needs and translate those needs to a proposal including schedule and budget development and then to a complete design.
    • Knowledgeable of industry standard PLC and HMI system implementation and programming.
    • Able to provide direction to project team members.
    • Strong writing and verbal skills.
    • Able to complete work consistently, with the flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by owners, vendors and contractors.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
