With the support of a nationally recognized technical team, this opportunity provides potential to develop a strong local design team and to support similar efforts throughout the region.

    This role includes project development, project management and technical design lead activities for projects in wastewater pipeline replacement and rehabilitation design. For the engineer with the desire to grow, this position has the potential to assume increasing responsibility for the growth of this service line throughout the state and beyond.

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

     

     

    • Provides technical and design services in support of sanitary sewer evaluation surveys, capacity evaluations, flow monitoring programs, and sewer system renewal and replacement design. 
    • Conducts preliminary evaluations, prepares various reports, produces design drawings, prepares technical specifications and prepares permit submittals for civil engineering projects.
    • Ability to prepare proposals and participate in presentations to secure new project work.
    • Develop and maintain client relationships.
    • Will lead the work of a project team.
    • Ensures that all aspects of the project are followed through to completion which includes clients meetings and relationships, project team communication, monitoring budget and project progress against milestones.
    • Evaluating rehabilitation methods involving use of trenchless technologies for sewer collection system projects
    • Identifying and reporting on permitting and regulatory requirements related to sewer collection system projects

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • A driving focus on responsive service and innovative thinking.
    • Strong team leadership experience including managing overall project delivery, staff and client expectations, prioritization of tasks and administrative supervisory responsibilities.
    • Effective client development talents including: active lead development, valuable communications, effective client presentations and written reports.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Masters of Science preferred but not required.
    • Registered Professional Engineer required, Florida license preferred.
    • 5 to 10 years of experience in design and management of projects related to wastewater collection system replacement and rehabilitation, with preference given to large-scale municipal projects.
    • Expertise in wastewater pipeline replacement and rehabilitation design and construction administration/management.
    • Experience with I/I studies, sewer system evaluation surveys, and pipeline rehabilitation methodologies.
    • Thorough knowledge of sanitary sewer system hydraulics; collection, conveyance and storage related.
    • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point & Project).
    • PACP and MACP Certification, a plus but not required.
    • Experience utilizing open channel and pressure conduit hydraulic modeling software.
    • Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
