    Associate Attorney - Insurance Coverage/Liability/Civil Litigation - Houston, TX, US This position requires an avid team player possessing an excellent work ethic, drive, and a can-do attitude. The Associate Attorney must possess exceptional oral advocacy skills, flawless writing abilities, and confidence in the courtroom. Responsible for delivering exceptional results for our clients in liability, commercial, and insurance matters, the successful candidate must be able to handle their individual caseload from beginning to end. It is essential that the Associate Attorney be able to lead the team, working together with Paralegals and Legal Assistants to successfully complete each case. Responsibilities: • Manage diverse caseload • Manage cases from inception through closing • Effectively take or monitor statements of clients or third parties • Independently handle day-to-day decision-making on a case-by-case basis • Regularly consult with clients and third parties to effectively move cases forward to a successful conclusion • Develop a strategic approach and provide leadership and direction to Paralegals and Legal Assistants • Work as part of a team with all levels of experiences • Cultivate relationships with the firm’s clients • Perform weekly case reviews for active cases and bi-monthly for cases that have been filed but are pending • Build client cases, verifying that all client notes and data are captured in the Case Management System • Analyze case-specific legal issues and documentation • Attend hearings and interviews • Review and prepare cases for filing • Prepare briefs and motions • May be required to meet with potential new clients for strategy sessions • In-office position with remote capability The ideal candidate Must be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and be able to handle cases and tasks with minimal supervision. Qualifications: • This position is full-time. Initial compensation will be based on prior experience. Raises will be based on job performance. The position offers health benefits, bonus opportunities, and paid holidays. • The office uses PCs, Clio, and Microsoft OneDrive. The ideal candidate will have used all of the above. The office is a paperless, cloud-based office. • Candidate should have 5+ years of experience. This firm is 100% committed to investing in and rewarding its people.
