  • Responsibilities

    UP TO $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE

    1. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.

    2. Meets the standards as required by the International Accreditation Commission. Will serve as the RN of the Cath Labs, Stress Test and assist in Special Procedures under the Radiology department and will be responsible of for the following:

    a. Clinical nursing care of patients during procedures

    b. general supervision of nursing, technical and ancillary staff

    c. delegation of specific responsibilities to the nursing, technical and ancillary staff related to these areas

    d. daily technical operation of the cath lab and report any variations to the department

    e. operation and maintenance of cath, specials, equipment and follow standards

    f. work with Medical Director, medical staff and Radiology staff to ensure quality patient care and technical training, and perform quality measure.

    1. Advises on the needs for department including, supplies cost and utilization, continuing education, equipment and personnel needs and growth opportunities needs of cath, radiology and specials departments to the Radiology Director.

    2. Maintains the storage and safety of medications- identify those items stored in the supply room that are considered medications (large volume IV’s, alcohol, saline, medications in prepackaged kits.) Understands the importance of securing all medications under lock and key. Demonstrates appropriate handling and storage of medications.

    3. Works to maintain satisfactory working relationships with the medical director, physicians, ancillary departments, patients and family members and visitors.

    4. General supervision of technical staff and/or ancillary staff (e.g., staff scheduling, patient scheduling, emergency call coverage). Delegation, when warranted, of specific responsibilities to the technical staff and/or the ancillary staff.

    5. Seeks opportunities to promote the vision, goals, and values of McLeod Health.

    6. All other duties and assignments as directed by leadership.

    Required Skills

    Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

     

    • Minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing

    • RN license valid for practice in South Carolina or other compact state.

    • Must possess valid ACLS and BLS certification

    Required Experience
