College students with an interest in health care will have an opportunity this summer to learn from professionals at McLeod Health through shadowing opportunities, held in mid-July. Students must have completed their freshman year in college and be a rising sophomore, junior or senior. They will be able to choose several areas of interest in which to shadow staff members. No area of placement guaranteed, although we will do our best to place students as closely as possible to their interests.
Students are expected to apply online for this program. Students can expect to be contacted shortly after the application deadline. The application deadline is April 22th. College students will have to have a Criminal Background Check, per McLeod policy. McLeod Health will reach out to each student in order to have this completed.
Since this is a non-paid shadowing experience, Mcleod Health is attempting to accommodate the schedules of students who may have a summer job. With that in mind, the program will be held from June 11th - June 14th, and June 18th - June 21th. Each day, the program will begin at 9:00 am and end at 12 noon. A maximum of 15 students will be accepted.
