DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Cardiology floor is a 33- bed floor providing care for patients with acute and chronic heart disease, as well as medical surgical conditions. We specialize in providing pre and post-procedural care for cardiac patients, management of heart failure, pre-operative care for cardiovascular/vascular surgeries, and multiple medical surgical conditions. Our comprehensive team of physicians, nurses, physician assistants, advanced practitioners, case managers, and ancillary staff work together to provide excellence in care for our patients and families. With a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-1:6, we are capable of meeting the needs of multifaceted patients while caring for the acute and chronic medical needs of our patients to include non-titrated drips, medication therapy, and complex wound management.

WORK SCHEDULE 72hrs biweekly; rotating with every other weekend and holidays.  Call is required.

SKILLS REQUIRED At least a two-year associate's degree from an accredited school in nursing.
