McLeod Health allows Nursing Assistants to further their education by providing Advanced Skills Training during their first week of employment. As a Medical Surgical Technician, he/she can assist the RN by supporting the patients’ basic needs; ensuring sterilization of rooms, beds, and equipment; offering Sterile dressing care; Foley Catheter Care, Phlebotomy, and Telemetry observation just to name a few.
POSITION TYPE: Full time 72 hours’ biweekly.
PRN (as needed) is an option for employees who prefer a reduced schedule, require scheduling accommodations, or don’t need benefits.
SCHEDULE: 7:00 to 7:00 rotating days/nights or as otherwise determined based on department needs. Rotating weekends and holidays. McLeod pays extra incentives when working evenings, nights, and weekends.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED and evidence of completing a Nursing Assistant training course required!
ORIENTATION/TRAINING: First week with McLeod: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm; Friday 8:30am to 12:30pm. If you are selected for hire, this schedule is required!
