  • Responsibilities

    Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.

    Consistently exhibit a commitment to accomplish fill rate objectives and ensure the efficiency of the restocking process.

    Communicate data to inventory control personnel for updating supply chain management system.

    Respond appropriately to hazardous spills according to MRMC/McLeod Health policy.

    Perform inspecting, receiving, and unpacking shipments; verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips; recording receiving transactions; reporting shortages and damaged materials; and transferring and transporting supplies and equipment to all designated inventory locations

    Maintain inventory controls to include receiving, verifying, storing and issuing various supplies, materials and equipment and in communicating data to inventory control personnel for updating the supply chain management system.

    Process stock issues when required; record stock issues on appropriate system or Log.

    Inform supervisor of all supplies received and current status of all supplies in stock; assist supervisor in processing outstanding orders; transport and transfer supplies and equipment from one area to another; fill requisitions from various areas.

    Maintain clean and orderly conditions in all assigned work areas. Represent the department with the highest level of professional and ethical standards

    Demonstrates the ability to identify those items stored in the supply room that are considered medications (large volume IVs, alcohol, saline, medications in prepackaged kits.

    Demonstrates understanding of the importance of securing all medications under lock and key.

     

    Performs other duties as assigned

    Requires the ability to work under/handle stressful situations.

    Must be a quick thinker and able to displays positive emotional behavior, as well as apply positive social skills with co-workers, vendors, customers, and patients.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:

    If the operation of a McLeod owned or leased vehicle is required; must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving record.

    LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/EDUCATION:

    Minimum High School Diploma or successful completion of McLeod approved Transition to Work Program
