Job Description
Job Summary:
Assisting the Maintenance & Engineering Manager with the coordination of day-to-day maintenance activities, including both reactive and preventative measures to increase production machine availability and throughput, while decreasing operational overhead.
Salary Range: $90,000 to $125,000
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university with an applicable major
5 to 10 years related experience in heavy industry/manufacturing
Must be able to interact with all personnel levels
Must work with others in a professional, respectful manner
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications, maps, surveys, project schedules, cost reports, and other documents; understanding of contract provisions which address scope of work and design criteria
Possess sound working knowledge and the proper applications of various types of pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearing assemblies, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, cooling towers, blowers, structural members, couplings, valves, actuators, piping, and other mechanical components
Knowledge of estimating, construction costs and cost control procedures, and scheduling.
Understanding of local, state, federal (including OSHA), and company safety and environmental regulations, codes, and requirements related to the manufacturing industry.
Ability to follow all work directives and safety procedures
Must be self-motivated
Must be able to speak, read and understand English
