Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in statistical data analysis with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and Minitab. Knowledge in SQL Server, Power BI and other data visualization software a plus. They should have experience in manufacturing processes and quality control, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential to translate data insights into actionable improvements. Additionally, they should be detail-oriented and curious, always eager to study and understand processes thoroughly to identify opportunities for optimization. Above all, we are looking for a true data lover who is passionate about uncovering insights and driving continuous improvement through data.

Data Collection

1. Data Acquisition: Collect data from various sources, including sensors and production logs.
2. Data Cleaning: Ensure data accuracy by identifying and correcting errors.

Data Analysis

1. Trend Analysis: Identify basic trends and patterns in production data.
2. Statistical Analysis: Apply simple statistical methods to analyze data.
3. Root Cause Analysis: Assist in investigating production issues.

Reporting and Visualization

1. Report Generation: Create simple reports to communicate findings.
2. Dashboard Development: Develop basic dashboards to visualize key metrics.
3. Data Presentation: Present data analysis results clearly.

Quality Control

1. Quality Metrics Monitoring: Monitor quality metrics to ensure compliance.
2. Defect Analysis: Assist in analyzing defects.
3. Quality Improvement Initiatives: Support quality improvement efforts.

Process Improvement

1. Process Mapping: Assist in mapping out current processes.
2. Benchmarking: Support benchmarking efforts.
3. Improvement Recommendations: Provide initial recommendations for process improvements .

Data Automation

1. Automation Tools: Implement basic tools to automate data collection.
2. Workflow Automation: Develop simple automated workflows.
3. Real-time Data Monitoring: Set up systems for real-time monitoring.

Mentoring and Coaching

1. Learning from Seniors: Actively seek guidance and feedback from higher-tier engineers.
2. Skill Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops.
3. Knowledge Sharing: Share newly acquired knowledge with peers.

Position Tiers:

This role is available at multiple tiers, including Engineer 1, Engineer 2, and Engineer 3. Advancement to the next tier will be given consideration during the semi and annual review process.

Qualifications

• BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• One to three years’ experience in a related field (preferred but not required)
• On site role (no remote option)
