We seek an experienced, mechanically minded individual looking for an opportunity to join an efficient auto service center team! Our successful automotive technician candidate understands vehicle electrical and computer systems and is able to properly diagnose and fix repairs. Responsibilities: • Ensure a straightforward repair process by clearly communicating systems issues and repairs • Examine all vehicle systems such as the air conditioning, engine, transmission, and brake systems with a step-by-step approach • Conduct routine maintenance, as needed, such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, or oil changes • Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools • Facilitate customer satisfaction and repeat business by following all manufacturer specifications for vehicle systems repairs • Receive job repair orders from management • Perform diagnostics on vehicles, make proper notes and pictures, report back to management on findings and recommendations • Review vehicle history, open service campaigns, and applicable OEM bulletins ensuring compliance with those documents • Request parts in DMS after proper authorization has been received • Complete authorized repairs and service in a timely, complete, and high-quality standard • Complete test drives of each vehicle as repairs are completed • Complete story and proper documentation of each repair done in DMS • Complete all required training and keep accurate records thereof • Ensure a clean and orderly work area • Ensure compliance with all warranty, safety, and proper waste disposal guidelines • The completion of other duties as they arise • Other duties may arise as directed by management • Dedicated to high-quality, previously owned inventory Qualifications: • Excellent customer service and communications skills are necessary • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE certification is strongly desired • High school diploma or GED is required • A minimum of 2 years of continual service technician experience in a high line or luxury brand preferred • Completion of technical training either in the work environment and/or technical school preferred • Ability to communicate verbally and via DMS notes/documentation • A positive attitude and a strong desire to contribute to the team • The ability to think outside of the box • Self-motivation • A strong desire to ensure excellence Compensation: $52,000 - $90,000 Annually commensurate on experience
