Meadowbrook has been an established company since 1932, when founder Fred Weir Sr. opened his first restaurant to provide all the missing elements in our world today. His desire is to provide a place where people and families can come to get away from the troubles that this world may bring and to design a place that gave every person who walked through the doors a sense of belonging and hope that they matter.

If you are interested in learning more about the field of marketing, or are looking to get some first hand intern experience with Marketing, this is the right place for you! We are searching for passionate service-minded individuals who need entry-level experience in Marketing, Advertising, and Social Media Management. This is a paid-internship position in which you will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Director complete daily, weekly and monthly tasks designed to help local restaurants stand out among the competition!

Job Functions:

· Be an ambassador of the Dairy Queen® brand and be professional in every aspect of performance

· Greet and welcome all fans that come into the Dairy Queen atmosphere and provide them with the positive experience DQ strives to offer

· Strive to exceed expectations and challenge yourself. Deliver that great service through timely and quality performance

· Complete assigned preparation work for designated areas and have your areas ready for success

· Calmly solve fan concerns and embrace Dairy Queens service standards

· Create and maintain a positive, safe, and clean environment for yourself, your team members, and fans

· Exhibit your love and passion for the DQ® brand at all times! Be proud of your company!

· Prepare marketing proposals and create content for social media

· Develop tools, methods, or suggestions for tracking success of campaigns

· Collect materials such as pictures, videos, testimonials, and documentation of events for use on social media

· Monitor consumer satisfaction via reviews, recommendations, emails, and website contact

Requirements:

· Positive and respectful communication skills with fans and fellow team members

· Work well under pressuring situations and maintain a positive and happy attitude

· Be comfortable standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds if necessary

· Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene and be ready to work with a smile! Have fun!

· Knowledge of or interest in Marketing, Service and Content Creation

· Basic knowledge and proficiency in grammar, punctuation and English language arts. Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to take direction and follow up on tasks and communications as needed

· Proficiency in content creation programs such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office are a plus!

A demonstration will be required as part of the interview process to view your abilities of content creation. Please expect an email from our Marketing director with more details about the demonstration and expectations.

This is an entry-level position, so you will gain real-job experience in multiple areas while earning a degree or completing other internships. Any knowledge of Marketing, Communications, Public Relations will make you a competitive applicant! You will report directly to the Marketing Director and other management members as needed.
