We are looking for a dedicated and charismatic individual with an eye for detail to work in the 2Js Meat Department. While meat cutting experience is helpful, training could be provided to the right person.
Responsibilities of Meat Clerk:
- Acute attention to cleaning/cleanliness
- Working with customers to take orders and educate them on the department’s various products/proper preparation
- Meat cutting
- Wrapping, labeling, and ROP of meat products
- Receiving/Placing orders
- Stocking displays and maintaining inventory
- Sausage making by grinding, mixing, stuffing, and smoking
- Following recipes and Food Safety/HACCP Standards
- Answering phones/taking messages
Ideally you should be familiar with:
- Knives
- Following Recipes and instructions
- Answering phone/taking messages
- Knowledge of the various cuts of meats and how to prepare them
Required Characteristics:
- Stellar customer service
- An eagerness to be part of a phenomenal team
- Dependability
- Physical ability to repeatedly lift 50+ LBS, stand for long periods of time, operate machinery, etc.
Wage:
$16+ DOE
