    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join the team at our successful store. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for operating the customer facing meat carving station to the high standards set forth by the company. You will trim and prepare standard cuts of meat as specified in-store guidelines and follow the store’s meat merchandising plan. The Meat Cutter’s goal is to drive sales within the meat department and maximize profitability.

    Responsibilities

    Cut and trim meat using knives and power equipment

    Package and display meat in an attractive manner

    Interact with customers, give samples, and upsell

    Receive and inspect meat as it arrives to the store

    Deliver orders quickly and consistently, ensuring accuracy and top-quality presentation

    Follow high standards of food safety, sanitation and quality control

    Experience slicing and carving meats (brisket, pork, ribs, poultry) with precision and consistency.

    Ability to safely operate and maintain BBQ smokers, warmers, and prep equipment

    Assist with food prep, including trimming meats, portioning, and preparing ingredients

    Help make house-made sauces, side dishes, and other menu items according to recipes

    Qualifications

    Must be 18 years of age

    High school diploma/GED required

    Experience slicing and carving meats (brisket, pork, ribs, poultry) with precision and consistency.

    Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30lbs

    Comfortable using meat cutting equipment, slicers, knives, and standard kitchen tools.

    Good communication skills for interacting with customers at the counter

    Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

    Ability to follow written recipes

    Restaurant experience a must, ServSafe certificate a bonus
