    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Meat Trimmer to join the team at our BBQ restaurant. Please DO NOT apply if you do not have experience trimming/butchering meat. As a Meat Trimmer, you will be responsible for operating the meat department to the high standards set forth by the company. You will trim and prepare standard cuts of meat as specified in our guidelines/trained (beef briskets, pork spare ribs, pork butts) for later use in our smoker. The Meat Cutter’s goal is consistent trimming of every meat. This job is part time and is very flexible with the time of day you work and can be supplemental work to your existing job. Meat is to be trimmed on Wednesdays and Fridays. Trimming can happen anytime between 9pm-1am, 4am-2pm.

    Responsibilities

    Cut and trim meat using knives

    Rub meats w/ spices according to guidelines/training

    Alert management on low inventory so we maintain appropriate levels of stock

    Ensure the cold chain is unbroken and meat remains high quality

    Follow high standards of sanitation and quality control

    Qualifications

    Must be 18 years of age

    High school diploma/GED required

    MUST have experience using meat cutting equipment and hand tools

    Ability to regularly lift 30-50 lb boxes
