    Position Summary

    The Fresh Meat & Seafood Specialist is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining the highest standards of product quality, food safety, and department presentation. This role supports daily operations of the meat and seafood department, including product handling, merchandising, and customer service.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide outstanding, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service

    Assist customers with product selection, preparation tips, and special orders

    Properly handle, cut, package, and label meat and seafood products as needed

    Maintain fresh, full, and visually appealing displays in service cases and self-service areas

    Ensure all products meet company quality standards and are rotated correctly (FIFO)

    Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines

    Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming deliveries

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and storage

    Assist with inventory management and minimizing shrink/waste

    Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment

    Qualifications

    Previous experience in a grocery, meat, seafood, or food service environment preferred (but not required)

    Strong customer service and communication skills

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

    Basic knowledge of meat and seafood products is a plus

    Willingness to learn cutting, handling, and food safety procedures

    Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to stand for extended periods of time

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

    Comfortable working in cold environments (refrigerated areas)
