    Summary: The Beverage Manager is responsible for the overall management of the beverage program, including the selection, procurement, and inventory control of beverages, staff supervision, and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. This role involves creating and maintaining a diverse and appealing beverage menu, implementing effective pricing strategies, and managing vendor relationships. The Beverage Manager will also be responsible for overseeing restaurant operations daily.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Beverage Director to introduce new and innovative drinks to enhance the menu.
    • Oversee the procurement, storage, and control of beverage inventory.
    • Reorder products & supplies as necessary to prevent shortages.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with beverage suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, evaluate supplier performance, and seek cost-effective solutions.
    • Ensure the consistent quality of all beverages served.
    • Conduct tastings and regular staff trainings in product offerings, proper preparation techniques, and guest service.
    • Implement effective pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
    • Monitor beverage sales, analyze financial reports, and implement cost-control measures.
    • Develop and manage budgets to achieve financial targets.
    • Recruit, train, and manage floor staff, including servers and bartenders.
    • Interact with guests with a high level of professionalism to ensure a positive dining experience.
    • Address guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
    • Manage the flow of service to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
    • Enforce health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and sanitation standards.
    • Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and regulations.
    • Implement promotions and upselling techniques to boost sales.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as kitchen, events, and management, to achieve overall business objectives.
    • Attend regular meetings to discuss strategies and improvements.
    • Implement and enforce Company policies and procedures.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and driving job satisfaction.
    • Monitor and assess staff performance by providing consistent coaching, performance reviews, and address any employee concerns.
    • Schedule and coordinate shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
    • Address employee concerns and grievances, escalating issues when necessary.
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance with alcohol service laws and regulations

    Must Haves:

    • 2+ years in beverage management or similar role in a restaurant setting.
    • Knowledge of various beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options (Mezcal a plus).
    • Ability to effectively handle employee relations.
    • Acute business & financial acumen
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements with wage & hour, scheduling, etc.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
