    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Forklift Mechanic to join our team! As a Forklift Mechanic, you will diagnose, service, and repair internal combustion and electric forklifts both in our shop and at customer sites throughout the Houston area. You will run your own service calls in a company-provided truck, perform preventive maintenance and repairs across hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems, and document your findings and recommendations on every job. You will also work directly with customers on site, keeping their equipment safe, reliable, and moving. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with forklifts or similar heavy equipment, works well independently and within a team, and maintains the highest safety standards.

    Responsibilities

    Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues on IC (LP, gas, diesel) and electric forklifts

    Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and planned maintenance inspections

    Service and repair masts, hydraulics, brakes, steering, transmissions, engines, batteries, and chargers

    Complete accurate work orders including labor hours, parts used, findings, and recommendations

    Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle

    Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures on every job

    Communicate professionally with customers and the rest of the service team

    Qualifications

    Previous forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or fleet repair experience desired

    Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems

    Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and parts diagrams

    Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record

    Must own basic hand tools

    Strong communication skills

    Strong attention to detail

    The ability to work well within a team environment
