    What You’ll Do

    Develop work plans after identifying issues

    Run diagnostic tests on diesel/gas engines and specialized equipment

    Repair or replace transmissions, brakes, suspensions, exhausts, engines, and more

    Perform oil changes, brake checks, wheel balancing, and preventive maintenance

    Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure performance

    Maintain parts inventory and service records

    Provide emergency roadside repairs when needed

    Support traffic control and facility/grounds maintenance as needed

    What We’re Looking For

    Strong knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle electrical systems, and specialized equipment

    Comfortable with diagnostic software, tools, and repair equipment

    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    Team player with solid communication skills

    Valid driver’s license

    Preferred Background

    High school diploma or GED

    Degree preferred or vocational/technical certification in diesel engine repair

    At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic
