Job Title: Mechanic II
Job Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Schedule: Varied, candidate selected may choose day/evening shift 6:30am-5:00pm or 3:00pm-1:30am
Job Duties:
- Performing preventative maintenance of refuse or heavy-duty vehicles such as;
- Oil changes
- Tire replacements
- Light bulb replacement
- Wiper Blade replacements
- Oil changes
- Lubrication
- Safety check
- Battery checks
- Changing fluid and filters for transmission, coolant and hydraulic systems
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years of proven experience is a must!
- Completion of eighth (8) grade plus three (3) years of experience in mechanical repair work utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities and associated with such positions as Line Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, Heavy Duty Mechanic or Construction Mechanic; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must have, or obtain, a current and valid Virginia or North Carolina driver’s license in accordance with Virginia or North Carolina DMV driver’s license eligibility requirements.
