Shop Assistant

We are seeking a dependable and self-motivated Shop Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, can stay organized, and values teamwork in a busy shop environment.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment

Support the repair team with disassembly, parts organization, cleaning, and preparation for repair projects

Safely use hand tools and shop equipment to assist with daily tasks

Perform shipping and receiving duties, including handling packages up to 60 lbs

Provide customer service support, including professional phone communication

Willing to be trained in forklift operation and adhere to safety standards

Qualifications:

Ability to follow directions and perform a variety of hands-on tasks

Comfortable using tools and eager to learn new skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Team player with a positive, reliable work ethic

Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs as needed

Pass Physical and drug screening (including marijuana)

Live within 30 mins of Walled Lake, MI

Dependable transportation

Basic math skills

Growth Opportunities: The ideal candidate will have opportunities to expand their role over time. This may include performing onsite repairs, traveling to customer locations, and pursuing certification with the State of Michigan and Ohio Weights and Measures program.
