Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines

· Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering and other systems

· Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment (i.e., dozers, excavators, heavy haul

trucks, etc.)

· Perform welding or fabrication tasks on equipment as necessary

· Prepare work orders and order parts

· Fuel equipment and maintain daily log

Qualifications

Required

· Minimum of 3 years of experience with diesel engine repair

· Thorough knowledge and working experience of DOT standards and regulations

· Must be 18 years in age or older

· Must pass pre-employment drug screen

· A valid Driver’s License

· Ability to work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions

· Knowledge and working experience of DOT standards and regulations

· Ability to communicate with others to convey information effectively

· Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials

· Demonstrate attention to details

· Knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices

Preferred

· High School Diploma preferred

· Diesel technician or mechanic degree a plus

· Welding experience a plus
