Our trusted customer is actively hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support a fleet of construction equipment used in excavation, earthwork, and site development projects. This is a full-time opportunity with excellent benefits and long-term growth potential.

Job Duties

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and support equipment
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrains, and related components
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine service work
• Respond to field service calls and complete on-site repairs as needed
• Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
• Order, install, and replace equipment parts and components
• Ensure equipment meets all safety and operational standards
• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently
• Experience with excavation, earthmoving, and site development equipment preferred
• Must provide own basic mechanic tools (specialized tools provided)
• Valid driver's license required
• CDL preferred but not required
• ASE certification, OSHA training, and welding/fabrication experience are a plus
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
