Mechanic & Tire Helper |C&D Scrap Metal Recyclers

The Role

The Mechanic & Tire Helper will assist the Mechanic in the maintenance of all vehicles. The role involves making sure that all vehicles and equipment are operating safely. This is a key role that helps minimize downtime and keeps the operation running efficiently.

Responsibilities

· Report directly to Maintenance Supervisor

· Perform tire rotations to ensure even tire wear

· Repair tire punctures and install new tires as required.

· Maintain inventory control, order materials, and manage stock levels

· Ensure safety procedures are adhered to during all operations.

· Inspect Company Vehicles for correct tire pressure and visible damage.

· All other responsibilities that may be determined as relevant to the role.

Location & commitments

· Full-time.

· Some travel to satellite locations may be required.

Candidate requirements

· Mechanical Experience

· Class 8 Truck Tire Repair

· Class 8 Truck Tire Repair Removal and Mounting

· Detail oriented.

· Computer literacy and familiarity with basic Office programs, including the ability to learn.

· Minimum of 2+ years of experience
