    Mechanical Assembler

    Contract to Hire | Fridley, MN | $18.00 – $22.00/hour (DOE)
    1st Shift - Flexible start time between 6:00 am and 8:00 am

    Position Summary:

    Konik is partnering with a manufacturing company that is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their Manufacturing Systems team. This role is responsible for assembling a variety of mechanical components and subassemblies used in precision equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical assembly experience, is comfortable working with components of varying sizes, and demonstrates strong attention to detail and quality.

    Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities:

    • Assemble mechanical components, including brackets, rails/bars, plates, large capacitors, and ducts
    • Work with parts ranging in size from ½ inch to over 6 feet
    • Interpret basic assembly drawings, work instructions, and diagrams
    • Utilize hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers
    • Operate pneumatically powered tools safely and effectively
    • Ensure assemblies meet quality and specification requirements
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing team

    Mechanical Assembler Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 1–2 years of mechanical assembly experience
    • Experience assembling a variety of mechanical components
    • Proficiency using hand tools and pneumatic tools
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
    • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
    • Ability to read mechanical drawings preferred
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
