Position Overview:
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling security trailers and other security related products.
Position Responsibilities:
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw and drill gun.
Perform soldering, wire termination and wire crimping.
Perform quality control checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Use problem-solving and decision-making skills to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Additional tasks as deemed necessary by leadership.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
1-2 years mechanical assembly experience preferred.
Basic reading skills, and ability to follow directions.
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
Ability to problem solve/think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
Use hand tools correctly and properly assemble products.
Have a good basic understanding of electrical circuitry and the use of volt meters and testing tools to diagnose issues.
Physical Responsibilities:
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
Perform repetitive physical tasks.
Regularly use manual dexterity to put pieces together.
