    Title: Mechanical Assembler

    Shift: Day shift, Monday - Friday, with 8-hour and 10-hour shifts available

    Salary: $18-21 per hour

     

    Who we are:

    Our client is a global leader in induction heating and melting technology with a history spanning over a century. They offer a wide range of equipment and solutions for various industrial applications, including heat treating, forging, and metal melting. We are currently seeking hands-on Mechanical Assembly Technicians to join their manufacturing team.

    Mechanical Assembler Role:

    This position involves the assembly, fabrication, wiring, and repair of mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies used in custom industrial equipment. You will be a vital member of the manufacturing team, building specialized systems from the ground up.

    Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities:

    • Fabricate and assemble mechanical and electrical sub-systems, including transformers, inductors, switches, and bus bars

    • Perform cutting, drilling, threading, and machining on metal and non-metal materials

    • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics

    • Perform water or air leak checks on cooling systems and brazed assemblies

    • Insulate, tape, clean, and paint parts and assemblies to specification

    • Wire electrical components in panels and cabinets following schematics and standard practices

    • Cut out cabinet panels and perform fit-up work for electrical enclosures

    • Install hoses and piping for water-cooled components

    • Maintain clean and safe work areas, and perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment

    • Use hand trucks, forklifts, and overhead cranes to move materials as needed

     

    Mechanical Assembler Reporting Relationships:

    This position reports to a production supervisor. The candidate will not have any reports.

    About You:

    • Have a high school diploma or equivalent

    • Possess experience in welding, soldering, plumbing, or mechanical assembly

    • Be comfortable using hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and threaders

    • Have average math and problem-solving skills

    • Be able to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams

    • Be able to lift up to 10 lbs and work in a factory environment with exposure to dust, noise, and fumes
