    Job Summary: Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the hands-on assembly of complex equipment, including mechanical sub-assemblies, plumbing of gas/vacuum lines, and electrical wiring. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and the capability to work both independently and with a small team.

    General Accountabilities • Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment. • Inspects, operates, or tests machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. • Dismantles machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts. • Performs routine maintenance. • Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them. • Repairs machines, equipment, or structures. • Maintains or repairs specialized equipment or machinery. • Work with purchasing manager on needed parts, supplies, or equipment. • Read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical schematics. • Performs general cleaning duties of buildings or properties. • Assist with testing, leak-checking, and troubleshooting completed systems. • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean organized work area. • Collaborate with engineering and production team to improve build processes.

    Preferred Skills • Experience with plumbing/tubing routing (compression fittings, stainless steel line forming, etc.) • Basic electrical wiring experience (panel wiring, sensors, cable routing) • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    “Nice to have” Skills • Experience in vacuum systems or PVD equipment • Experience with compressed gases/welding gases • Machining or fabrication experience • Welding

    Job Qualifications • 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing or equipment build environments. • Experience with plumbing/tubing routing. • Basic electrical wiring experience. • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, schematics, and build instructions. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Work Environment • Small company • Hands-on assembly shop environment • Full time position (standard Monday – Friday schedule) • Occasional overtime during peak build periods.
